Current situation (September 2026): the Strait of Hormuz is closed to container ships. Ports in the Persian Gulf such as Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Doha, Kuwait and Umm Qasr can currently only be reached via detours – for example via Khor Fakkan or Fujairah with onward transport by truck. We will provide transit times and costs on request. Ports on the Red Sea, in Oman and in East Africa are not affected.

The Middle East and East Africa combine growing markets with strategically important trade routes. Through our network of experienced shipping line partners, we organise reliable transports between Hamburg and the ports of this region.
