Frequently asked questions about exporting
How long does a sea shipment take? It depends on the destination: about 10 to 14 days to the US East Coast, around 2 to 3 weeks to the Mediterranean and 5 to 8 weeks to the Far East or Australia. Guide values per region can be found under Shipping Routes.
Do I need an export declaration? As a rule yes, as soon as the goods value exceeds 1,000 euros or the weight exceeds 1,000 kg. We will handle the electronic export declaration (ATLAS) for you on request.
How much fits into a container? A 20 ft container holds around 33 m³, a 40 ft container around 67 m³ and a 40 ft high cube around 76 m³. Exact dimensions are listed under Container Specifications.
